You finish an hour on the treadmill or a sweaty cardio workout, thinking you’ve burned off enough for a pizza “reward”
Then realize you’ve burned 100 calories, at best.
That “reward” erases all the hard work & you gain weight

In all the time we’ve been following Calories In Calories Out, our collective weight and health have moved in the wrong direction.
#CICO says you can lose weight by exercising into a deficit. But it doesn’t make sense.

CICO numbers don’t always translate to the real world
Your calorie labels can be under by 20%
Your calorie number on your smartwatch is inaccurate
Exercise burns fewer calories than you think
The idea of “burning off” calories is flawed.
5/CICO has failed us - good data hasn’t.
We should approach weight loss from a different perspective:
🏃 The main focus of #exercise should be health, not weight loss.
🏋️‍♀️ We must build muscle to be metabolically healthy.
🍎 We should eat whole, real foods to support our bodies.
