Food habits are linked with productivity and focus.
I am not a nutritionist but few things that I followed as an #aspirant might help you too.
Hope you get some value out of it: (7 points)
#upsc #gpsc #student
1. Drink water. Yes. A lot of it. NO ENERGY DRINKS. NO REDBULL.
Our brain is made up of 75% water but it doesn't store water.
Drinking water helps us think clearly. It also brings clarity to the thought process.
2. A home-cooked meal at least once a day.
For those who are living in hostels - roti sabzi from the PG mess/roadside chole puri is much better than packaged chips/biscuits.
Eat food that gets rotten within 24 hours. Anything that promises you a longer shelf life, never eat.
3. Sugar is the enemy. I have talked about this in my earlier tweets too.
Sugar makes you lazy, lethargic and loads you with more hunger. It disrupts your ability to concentrate.
High consumption of sugar hinders learning and memory.
4. If you are a student and can not afford to eat any other fruit, eat a banana, every single day.
Eat it in the morning as soon as you wake up or evening around 4 pm. It gives instant energy. A good source of potassium too.
Aur sasta bhi to hai!
5. Healthy drinks like butter milk, lassi, nariyel pani, and nimbu pani are way better than colas and other aerated drinks.
Drink them when you are hungry in between meals.
It keeps you hydrated.
6. Rather than eating biscuits and packaged chips as snacks, shing-dana, homemade popcorn/ mathri/chivda are way better.
All the processed items are loaded with sodium and sugar, both make you feel lazy and sleepy.
7. In the end, no Instant noodles.
Nothing in life that is worth eating or enjoying comes instant. Good things take time!
Instant noodles are loaded with maida and contain zero nutritional value. Don't treat your body like a dustbin.
Hope this helps ❤️
