A great Siddha Doctor suggested me that if we halve our food intake, we may not get sick and won't need doctors as often. I found it true.
This is called Mitahara in yogic terminology.
Let's be mindful of our portions and eat in moderation.

Gratitude is essential in our relationship with food. Being thankful for each morsel, each meal and the gift of life - Prana Danam, cultivates a sense of well-being. Let's appreciate and be grateful for the nourishment we receive. #GratefulHeart

Violent diet doesn't just refer to non-vegetarian food; eating with anger & worry is also violent.
Absolute non-violence is impractical. Real Ahimsa comes from taking responsibility for all life around you.
Choose right foods & eat in a peaceful state for a healthier body.

Remember, the right diet is a personal journey. Experiment, listen to your body, and find what truly nourishes you physically, mentally, and spiritually. Trust your intuition and develop a sense of how a certain food behaves within your system.

To make the eating process more conscious one must eat with gratitude, sitting in a cross-legged posture on the floor, with hands, chewing food at least 24 times, and avoiding any form of communication while eating.

Taking two minutes before starting a meal and appreciating the significance of food will reduce compulsiveness that we have built within us, directly making us more conscious human beings.

I strongly advocate for eating with our hands instead of utensils. Touching the food allows us to feel its quality, and the cleanliness of our hands is within our control. Using utensils can create a disconnect between us & food, depriving us of the full sensory experience.

Continuous eating throughout the day disrupts the digestive process and hampers the purification of our bodies. A clean colon is crucial for mental stability, and irregular eating patterns make colon cleansing difficult.
Have 2 full meals with a minimum of 6 to 8 hours gap.

In Yoga, there is a recommendation regarding the distance from which we should source our food. The radius of the area from which we eat should be the distance we can walk in a day. The way system functions is influenced by the specific parameters of the location itself.
