7 years ago, I was eating and drinking my way to an early death.
But since then, I’ve run 8,000 miles and 5 ultramarathons.
Here are 8 ways how running will change your life:
🔷 Build Your Body
As a runner, you ask a lot of your body.
It’s a daily pounding.
But when you show up every day (even when times are tough), you realize what you can achieve.
You’re capable of more than you think.
🔷 Master Your Mind
Your mind will want you to quit.
It’ll beg you to stop.
But that’s only one part of your mind.
And you can train yourself to override that voice, the voice that wants the easy path.
When you realize you’re not your thoughts, everything changes.
🔷 Love Your Family
Running long distances takes you away from your family (temporarily).
But you come back healthier and happier.
Not only will your family support you, but becoming a runner is the best way to serve them.
🔷 Find Your Friends
Running can be a solitary sport.
But you can also run with others.
And (if you run right), you can have conversations as you explore your environment and push your boundaries.
The best friends are friends you get fit with.
🔷 Discover the Community
The world has become increasing isolated.
Most people don’t have a tribe.
But the running community will welcome you.
Even if it’s just a wave from a fellow runner on the trail.
Human connection is worth every effort.
🔷 Embrace Nature
We exist in concrete jungles.
But if you want to improve your health,
Spend time in nature.
It will:
• Calm you
• Boost your focus
• Lower your blood pressure
• Reduce your stress hormones
For 99% of your problems, a run in nature is the answer.

All of humanity’s problems stem from man’s inability to sit quietly in a room alone. -Pascal
We’ve normalized constant companionship.
But one of the most underrated things is time by yourself.
If you want to develop self-awareness, embrace running alone.

We live in the age of distraction.
You’re constantly bombarded with captivating content.
Running is your break.
