Drinking 2-3 cups of coffee a day was linked with a longer lifespan and lower risk of cardiovascular disease compared with avoiding coffee.

Drinking 2-3 cups of ground coffee per day was also linked to a lower risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD) compared to no coffee.

Surprisingly, ground and instant coffee, but not decaf, was associated with a ~17% reduction in arrhythmias including atrial fibrillation compared with non-coffee drinkers.
Importantly, coffee shifts the body's internal clock so consumption later in the day can disrupt sleep!
