(i) neurons do a lot more than just passively integrate-and-fire
(ii) synchrony and oscillations modulate outputs
(iii) brain always active
This list can become very long as we don't know what exactly is involved in computing output (algorithm) and what is not. @neuroecology
@neuroecology It is hard to mimic how the brain works (or "solve intelligence" haha) without looking at how its components evolved (=what is important)
@neuroecology .. and how different courses of evolution and designs led to diverging or converging types of behavior (i.e., behavior X in aninmals A vs B)
