1) Hastikundi of Shelar capital Bijapur didn't exist during Imperial Somavanshi Rashtrakuta rule.
2) This so-called Hastikundi is inside Shelar Capital Bijapur not in Manyakheta.
3) So-called Hastikundi of Bijapur was never a famous site of Jainism. x.com

Dense area here is Kolhapur, Sangli & Belgaon = Shelar, Belgaon Ratta & Jadhav territory.
Satara, Pune & NW Ahmednagar = Nikam/Nikumbh & Seuna-Jadhavrao territory. (Nikams of Satara also patronized jainism as proved by Shelar inscription)
Haveri = Kadam territory. x.com

even the Jain Ramayana text written by deccani Jains (1470 CE) didn't forget to mention those 96 Kulin Maratha Bhupalas (especially the Yaduvanshi Marathas= Seuna, Ratta & Shelar) x.com

Now let's come back to Hastikundi
Hastikundi means Elephant Watering-Well. Hastikundi of Bijapur (originally under Shelars) is for Bijapur's own city.

As to Manyakheta (Village of Manes, Nagoji Rattaji Mane was literally recorded as Nagu Manya by Mughals) / Malkhed, there are several Malkheds in Maharashtra too.
Those Malkheds of Maharashtra across Amravati, Pune, Satara, have nothing to do with Manyakheta's vernacular as Malkhed though.
Those Malkhed name versions too likely originate from separate words.
That being said, Lands ruled by Rashtrakutas were labelled Rattapadi / Rathvad.

It seems quite reasonable that Gahadavalas took Rashtravara (Lords of Rattapadi) as title after settling in Maru Pradesh's Hastikundi and then retrofitted different clans owing to confusion while having previous inscriptions revised, believing Rashtrakutas / Rashtraudhas as same.
Now what happened to Imeprial Somavanshi Rashtrakutas after downfall of their empire?
The Imeprial Somavanshi Rashtrakutas resided back to their core territory "Latur" which is their original homeland as proved through many inscriptions & texts.
