Let's talk about #KhirbetZanuta. It's a village in the West Bank, within Area C, that was ethnically cleansed by violent Jewish terrorists with the support of the #IDF and gov of #Israel. It was not the only community attacked and expelled.

After expelling the residents of #Zanuta, the same violent settler extremists illegally demolished structures in the village, from homes to an internationally-funded school. This all happened with the tacit sanction of the #IDF and Civil Administration.
But then the case takes a slightly positive turn. #Zanuta residents win in court. The #IDF is ordered to let them return to their village. So what does #Israel do? It bans them from rebuilding, so they must live in the rubble.
This is a common practice in Israel's occupation.
The courts will say X, and the state/military will agree, only to use other means to make X functionally impossible. In this case, by refusing to let new structures be built, only a handful can return to #Zanuta as they attempt to repair surviving structures.
But that arbitrary restriction, violating the intent if not the letter of the court ruling, was not enough. Now, Palestinians in #Zanuta are being threatened with long dormant expulsion orders in order to ethnically cleanse them again to a site #Israel prefers.
Here, today, is a report in the Times of #Israel on the state's threat. This is a deliberate policy choice, in addition to past ones, meant to reward settler terrorists and punish Palestinians. The #IDF is complicit, and the courts rarely act.

Why is #Israel attempting to expel the residents of #Zanuta a second time? Well in addition to the growing extremism in Israel and the IDF, they claim it is an "archaeological site", and thus the villagers must be forced out (to the border of Area B and A, 3km away).
This is yet another classic trick of #Israel's authoritarian Civil Administration. In addition to denying permits for Palestinians and using the demolition orders as leverage, archaeology is often abused to justify ethnic cleansing and constructing new illegal settlements.
This incident really encapsulates decades of hostile and abusive policy by #Israel, supported by the #IDF, enabled by the #US and #EU. The court ruling is little more than a fig leaf of due process before the ethnic cleansing begins anew.
Meanwhile the violent settler terrorists in question continue to get support from the state, they continue to attack #Zanuta, and they will almost certainly gain functional if not legal ownership of the ethnically cleansed lands if the Civil Administration gets their way.
This is the farce of #Israel's policy. Don't ever listen to those claiming the Israeli justice system is willing and able to prosecute crimes against Palestinians. Even Jewish terrorists face no consequences, and an entire bureaucracy has been made to legalize ethnic cleansing.
