3/ Comments by Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, over the fate of the #JCPOA, has excited the reformists and pro-US faction in Iran.

4/ Araghchi added that “the text document of the #JCPOA should be re-opened, parts of its revised and its not an easy task”. However, the new FM said “there could be other forms of an agreement and Iran would follow up those paths”.
5/ Main Reformist papers and online media on Monday allocated their main news to the JCPOA and speculations on its revival. An analyst even went further to say that Iran should bypass 4+1 countries and re-open talks with the US over nuclear matter.
6/ The point is that it is unlikely for the Nizam to send back the nuclear dossier to Pezeshkian’s Foreign Ministry and even if (a BIG IF) there would be talks, the SNSC would be in charge of carrying them out without allowing the MOFA play a role.
7/ It is unclear if the Nizam is testing waters to see what would be pubic reaction to new round of talks or it’s just the Reformists’ wish.
