9 months after the event, Haaretz reveals what we knew from day 1: our army killed many-many Israeli civilians & soldiers in attempts to stop hostage taking into Gaza on 7/10. There are no precise numbers , but it can be assumed to be in the many 10s, if not 100s killed this way
For hours, the area near the Gaza ence was a killing zone using bombing from the air and heavy artillery fire - killing unknown # of Israelis there. Throughout the day, the orders were to blow up any car going into Gaza - knowing very well many had Israeli civilians inside them
For the record: the decision to prioritize killing Palestinians over saving Israelis is dictating our policy ever since then - from the decision to invade Gaza until today. & this complete failure of the state to do is #1 job is why I don'twamt to raise children there
