In every constituency that I (randomly) checked, there is a difference between total votes cast on #EVMs and total votes counted, sometimes to the tune of thousands. Highlighting just a few cases below.
Why should there be any difference? 1/n
Remember Mumbai North West? Total votes cast - 9,51,580; votes counted - 9,51,582 Attn:
@rautsanjay61 @Awhadspeaks
Also, South Goa: Total votes cast - 4,45,916; votes counted - 4,45,924
Where did the extra votes come from? @ECISVEEP

@rautsanjay61 @Awhadspeaks @ECISVEEP In 2019, @poonamjourno had done a detailed analysis and found such mismatches in 370+ seats.
@ECISVEEP did not explain the discrepancies then.
This further underscores the need to make Forms 17C and 20 public. 3/n

@rautsanjay61 @Awhadspeaks @ECISVEEP @poonamjourno And so far @ECISVEEP has not released even PC-vise data for Phase 7 of #Elections2024.
The table (reproduced below, again) indicates votes polled on EVMs and votes counted on EVMs and the difference between the two.
Please note again that there should be no difference between votes polled and counted on EVMs.

Thank you @ceoup for the clarification. Request you & all CEOs to make data abt 1 & 2 public, for accurate election analyses.
Could you also please explain how in some PCs like Mumbai North West, total EVM votes counted are more than EVM votes polled?

Among constituencies where EVM votes counted exceed EVM votes cast, these two caught my eye. 👇🏾
In Jajpur, the winning margin (EVM only) is 469 & w/ postal ballots, is 1587.
In any case, where are 1000s of excess EVM votes coming from? @ceo_assam @ECISVEEP
