In 2019 I spent 25 days travelling in Europe and spent INR 103,945 (excluding flights & visa)
Cities I stayed in: Munich, Berlin, Fussen, Salzburg, Vienna, Budapest, Prague, Karlovy Vary

Food/Drinks: INR 22,600
You know some people believe that they haven’t experienced a country until they’ve tried local food - I’m those people! Ways I kept this budget in check:
1⃣I cooked up a storm with local ingredients- a tasty way to save some euros.
2⃣Booked hostel that provides breakfast, or stocked up on fresh berries, cereal and milk from the supermarket. Coffee on the go from McCafe- super affordable.
3⃣Alcohol is very affordable in some parts of Europe, for others, there’s a supermarket!
4⃣I ate at Middle Eastern curbside joints for a deliciously cheap feast. 2/7

Accommodation: INR 41,645
Repeat after me: Hostels are your BFFs! Compare this: INR 1500/night for a hostel versus INR 7000/night for a hotel. Need I say more? 3/7

Transport: INR 17,500
Opted for @FlixBus for inter-city travel and one long-distance train ride. I did not find value in buying a Eurail pass. Within cities, I walked to as they say "soak in the European vibes". When walking wasn't feasible, hopped on public transport. 4/7

Some extra tips:
1⃣Eastern European countries are a lot more affordable than Western ones. Mix it up!
2⃣Rushing = spending. Stay longer at one place, if you can't swing a long overall trip.
3⃣Even if you are travelling as a couple don’t hire a car, parking fees rack up quicker than you can say "Europe."
4⃣Travel during the shoulder season for lower prices and fewer crowds. 6/7
