I get a lot of questions about my strategy. Well, here it is: the #ICT NY Judas Swing x #itsimpossible strategy that helped me pass a prop firm challenge yesterday.πŸš€
A thread 🧡
This thread and the strategy are shared for educational purposes only and should not be considered as financial advice. Always conduct your own research and consult with a financial advisor before making investment decisions.
This method requires just 30 mins a day! There's not a setup everyday, but patience pays off.
Basic knowledge of The Inner Circle Trader concepts like liquidity & time vs price is preferred. It's about spotting manipulations #ICT
The Judas Swing is a false move at the New York open. We wait for it, and we look for an entry when it reverse.
The #itsimpossible indicator is our secret sauce. It helps identify key liquidity levels. If a candle breaks a level but doesn’t close beyond it, expect a reversal.
Watch for the Judas Swing between 9:30-9:45 EST on indices NQ and ES.
Setup: Use 3m and 5m timeframes on TradingView. Setup the #itsimpossible indicator twice, 1 on 1m, 1 on 5m. ATR set to 0.2 to 0.35 for SL.
Entry:
After 9:30 EST NY open, look for candles intersecting with 1m or 5m liquidity levels.
Long: Enter after a price break & close above an indicator line.
Short: Enter after a price break & close below.
Stop Loss & Take Profit:
Stop Loss: Place at the ATR β€˜.’ point, near the 'X' mark.
Take Profit: Set at the first opposite 5m liquidity level. More experienced traders may aim for 2-2.5 SD levels or strong previous points.
Risk Management:
Stick to your strict risk management strategy. Risk no more than 0.5% per trade.
Points of attention:
Consider re-entry if the next candle after a stop-out fits entry criteria.
When there's news at 10:00 EST, watch out for Judas Swings around that time.
Backtesting:
I've seen great results, like my own passed challenge, but we need more backtest data. Let's improve together. Share your backtesting and let's refine this strategy.
