A major MNC semiconductor company started operations in South India but they faced roadblocks at each step.
They imported equipment from US.
Forget giving them any concessions, Indi Alliance govt levied heavy import duties to them due to that MNC had to pay huge sums as demurrage.
They asked help from Prime Minister MMS but MMS govt didn't help
China grabbed this opportunity and welcomed the project, China offered that company everything they needed and they left India n moved to China with huge investment and 4000 jobs
Another Chip MNC in the process of setting up their fab here withdrew after seeing the horrific experience of this MNC
India could have become Semiconductor giant if Indi Alliance govt had supported them but due to them our semiconductor dreams shattered and China became superpower
Now Modi govt is trying best to bring semiconductor companies in India but lost time is lost
Semiconductor (Chip) is most imp component currently and You cant imagine mobile, laptop, EV or any electronic device without them.
