But How Do You Solve them in The Most Optimal Way?
Here are Some Aspects, Things, Precautions and Strategies that you should know and follow
A Thread🧵
1. Quality over quantity
- Don’t just solve any question paper or test series that you find online
- Choose the ones that are reliable, updated, and aligned with the UPSC syllabus and pattern
- Quality matters more than quantity. It’s better to solve a few good papers thoroughly than to solve many mediocre ones superficially
2. Before solving
- Plan your schedule and allocate sufficient time for solving the question paper or test series
- Gather your resources and materials such as pen, paper etc.
- Read the instructions and guidelines carefully and follow them strictly
3. Don’t overdo or underdo
- Don’t overdo or underdo the question paper or test series
- Balance your quantity and frequency of solving them with your quality and depth of learning from them
- Overdoing or underdoing will only backfire on you in the long run. It will either burn you out, stress you out, or make you complacent, lazy, or overconfident
4. While solving
- Start with the section or subject that you are most comfortable with and confident about
- Use the elimination method, approximation technique, or intelligent guessing to tackle the questions that you are not sure about
- Keep track of your time and speed and don’t spend too much or too little time on any question
5. After solving
- Check your answers with the answer key and explanation and mark your score
- Analyze your performance report and feedback and note down your strengths and weaknesses
- Revise the concepts, formulas, facts, and current affairs you need to improve or refresh
