#ONEPIECE Theory
The True Identity Of Crocodile
In this theory, I will attempt to persuade you of Crocodile's true identity, and break down all of the evidence supporting the idea.
Let's get in to it.
To start with, let's consider the scene in which Sanji first called himself "Mr Prince."
Now we know that Sanji is actually a prince of the Germa Kingdom.
What if the same thing applies to Crocodile?
"Mr Zero" is actually a clue to his real identity.
The next clue we should consider comes from chapter 540, when Crocodile and Ivankov met at Impel Down.
Many people have theorised that this means that Crocodile is actually trans, and was originally a woman.
But how does it connect to the nickname of "Mr Zero"?
Well, take a look at this panel from chapter 1096, of Ivankov and the other slaves attempting to escape the Celestial Dragons' hunting game.
'There were exactly 'ZERO' survivors!'
It could still turn out to be true that Crocodile is transgender, but I believe the main reason that Ivankov and Crocodile know each other is because they're both survivors of these hunting games.
It's possible that Ivankov searched for survivors when he left Sorbet kingdom.
Now if we take a look at SBS Vol 63, we can see Oda's designs for all of the original Warlords when they were young.
What's noticeable about Crocodile is that he seems to have quite aristocratic clothing. This makes it seem like he's from nobility.
It's important to remember that when the Celestial Dragons choose a location for their hunting games, al of the citizens are considered as slaves and are also hunted alongside the people who were already slaves.
So if Crocodile is a secret survivor of a hunting game, and he's actually also from royalty, that may explain why he's taken on a secret identity.
This could also connect to how Ivankov helped him, and how Ivankov's ability could have altered Crocodile's appearance as disguise.
But if Crocodile was a prince, or even a princess, then what kingdom is he from?
Checking through all the known examples of royal families and individuals, there don't seem to be many that could be Crocodile's family.
But wait. What about the Kin of God Valley? Isn't it strange that Oda never told us his name?
If he's just a throw-away character cameo, then why would Oda not just name him? There's more to it than meets the eye.
Did Garling kill Crocodile's father?!
Interestingly, if this is true, it would not only serve as a parallel to "Mr Prince." It would also create another parallel between Crocodile & Doflamingo.
Doffy is referred to by his subordinates as 'Young Master' That would make Crocodile also a "Young Master / Mistress."
Putting all this together, I believe we may have an explanation for Crocodile's True Identity, and the secrets of his past.
Crocodile's True Identity is the that "he" is actually the Lost Princess of God Valley!
That's about all I've for this one, I'll leave you with one last thought.
In chapter 127, when Crocodile is introduced as "Mr 0", we see Crocodile holding a Lily flower.
I believe that this was the first seed of foreshadowing for Lili, but it could also hold a clue about him.
Crocodile is also a member of the D clan!
This could be another reason why Oda withheld the name of the King and Queen of God Valley.
Will Crocodile ever reveal this true identity, and reclaim the fallen crown of his father?
What could it mean for Crocodile's potential involvement in the final war?
I guess we'll have to wait to find out
That's all I've got for this one, thanks for reading 🙏
