The Bills are the favourite topic of #UPSC . At least 2-3 questions are asked directly or indirectly from this area every year.

1️⃣ Ordinary Bill:
- Meaning: Covers general laws for any matter not in Money/Finance Bill.
- Article: Article 107.
- Introduced: Either Lok Sabha or in Rajya Sabha.
- Prior recommendation President's: NO
- Majority: Simple majority.
- Legislative Powers: Lok Sabha = Rajya Sabha
- In case of Deadlock: Resolved by joint session if needed.
- President's Assent: Required.
2️⃣ Money Bill:
- Meaning: Deals solely with financial matters.
- Article: Article 110.
- Introduced: Only in Lok Sabha.
- Prior recommendation President: YES
- Majority: Simple Majority
- Legislative Powers: Lok sabha > Rajya Sabha
- In case of Deadlock: No joint sitting. Lok Sabha decision prevails.
- President's Assent: Mandatory.
3️⃣ Financial Bill:
- Meaning: Related to government finances beyond Money Bill.
- Article: Article 117.
- Introduced: Only in Loksabha
- Prior recommendation President: YES
- Majority: Simple Majority
- Legislative Powers: Lok Sabha = Rajya Sabha
- In case of Deadlock: Resolved by joint session if needed.
- President's Assent: Essential.
4️⃣ Constitutional Amendment Bill:
Meaning: Changes to Constitution provisions.
Article: Article 368.
Introduced: Either Lok Sabha or in Rajya Sabha.
Prior recommendation President: NO
Majority: Special majority in each House.
Legislative Powers: Lok Sabha = Rajya Sabha
In case of Deadlock: No Joint Sitting ( Deadlock -> Lapse of bill)
President's Assent: Necessary.
