Verma did a shoddy fan piece on #RaqibNaik and #HindutvaWatch (HW) but made NO attempt to verify the facts that:
a. HW’s backend was being managed from Pakistan.

Verma also claimed that Raqib Naik founded HW. However, in his own story, he claims that someone gave the domain of HW to Naik AFTER he shifted base to the US. Some ‘anonymous activists’ must be. Then Verma forgot to square the circle.

Verma’s story is a desperate attempt to paint ‘rising hatred in India’ and one of the ‘evidences’ he has quoted is the DOTO database. DOTO was fabricating numbers of ‘atrocities’ on minorities in India.

Verma also mentioned Raqib's Covid story for Al Jazeera claiming how ‘Hindu right-wing groups’ got funding from US. Fair.
But neither Raqib nor Pranshu, AJ & WaPo did a story on radical Islamist fronts collecting millions of funds in name of COVID!

Those fronts were not only directly linked to terror groups in #Pakistan, but they also had direct association with Pakistan army. AND none had a ground network in India nor any association with NGOs in India, meaning, that all funds were MEANT to be STOLEN.

But no story, no expose. By targeting so-called ‘Right Wing Hindu groups’, Naik was giving cover fire to Jamaat fronts to collect money in the name of Covid, knowing it would NOT go to India or anywhere for help.

That said, we must acknowledge that the WaPo editorial board thought amplifying Raqib Nayak was so important that they sent along a photographer and did him a proper photoshoot at multiple scenic locations with multiple angles for the story. And they did a good job.

Incidentally, Verma was hired by WaPo as a tech journalist & does all tech stories, EXCEPT when targeting India. A useful brown face?
That said, we support Verma’s demand for equal pay from #WashingtonPost. Especially after he goes out of his way to prove his loyalty.

WaPo did another story, which we exposed recently for attempting to whitewash discredited and exposed elements, who were running anti-India propaganda. Surprisingly, no one talking FACTS. It’s a pure narrative war. Welcome!
