The post mentions how Juan's a money chaser since he left Goa mid season. Any person in any job, including sport, has every right to take up a higher paying job. And instead of adding a price tag to our club, which you consider as your mother, (2/15)
maybe consider it as an appropriate salary when the job demands are higher. After such a vile character assassination, the post mentions how Juan got every player he wanted, and pleaded our investors to not waste their money on him. Only if it were so simple. (3/15)
Ever since #RemoveATK was successful, our investors have been put onto a God-like pedestal who can never be wrong. Even after mutilating our sacred badge with a commercial logo, fans were so drooled over 3 letters that they got fooled by an even worse sacrilege. (4/15)
Now I won't delve deeper into Indian football's Agency mafia, but couple that with clubs having to overpay Indian players, it will always lead to a team whose value is much much higher than the quality it offers. Remember, its not always Juan/Habas who decides who comes. (5/15)
Be it ACL/UCL or any competition, football would have been lot easier if the most expensive squad won always. The wallet isn't abused by the person who you think, rather it the mismanagement by the people you glorify which lead to new players demanding even more money. (6/15)
Now it comes to picking on our players. The writer criticises Sadiku by his lack of touches, whereas Cummings gave his 'maximum', but it just happens just Jason only had 3 more touches. Also it seems like the hype train of Kiyan has now shifted to Suhail. (7/15)
"Why only Kiyan?" Because Kiyan is one of the most intelligent players of the club, evident from his dribbling and positioning yesterday and still miles ahead of Suhail. So instead of ditching one for other, maybe learn to look at the bigger picture, be it player or coach. (8/15)
About Glan, this is the only point I would probably agree with. He is supposed to be a defensive blocker, but his lack of pace hampers his player tracking. But he wasn't played instead of Thapa. Thapa had a niggle and was at injury risk if he played the whole match. (9/15)
Now another issue with Indian clubs. Such overpriced squads, and the glam and glitter of ISL has painted this picture of how our clubs are fit for the Asian level. Even looking at the ISL team playing ACL, its evident how huge this gap actually is. (10/15)
Our over confidence and lack of respect to opponents has repeatedly plagued us, be it from the fans or the players. I totally agree there have been some players in the team who don't/didn't perform to the best of their abilities. (11/15)
But, in conclusion, singling out our coach as the sole reason for the failure, failing to criticise the short comings of the greater management, and pointing out the greater issues plaguing the entire system, is exactly where I find such comments wrong and totally unjust. (12/15)
Man City got big money investors in 2008. They got their UCL in 2023, after trusting a single coach for 7 years. I am not comparing Juan with Pep, but what needs to be pointed out here is throwing out managers will only end in a Man United, not a Man City for us. (13/15)
Habas was cruelly thrown out after nearly winning the shield guiding us to the final. I know the expectations are of the highest level. Nobody is totally right or wrong here, but blaming and sacking coaches is the worst possible and futile thing to do. (14/15)
Juan came at a very sensitive time, and guided us to the playoffs, and then the coveted ISL itself. The greater the aspirations, the more time it will require. Juan isn't always right, just like any other coach, but learn whom to and how to criticise! (15/15)
