@Columbia cancelled another #Palestine-focused event, this time one organized by Columbia Global Centers in Amman, Jordan. It was scheduled for this Thursday on "Academic Praxis and the Question of Palestine”. 🧵1/3
The panel promised to be a scholarly conversation abt the legacy of one of the most prominent scholars of our generation: Edward Said. Given that it was fully remote, it posed no security risk (real or imagined) to students on campus who might be uncomfortable w/ the topic. 2/3
