I come from a very poor home.
I worked a side 9-5 jobs.
After school I ended up as a Sales boy at his dad's shop . . .
Earning ₦10k/month
Here’s how I overcame it all, from being a broke graduate . . . to hit $25,000 every month :
🧵🧵
3yrs ago if someone told me that at 25 I would :
● Close a $13k Marketing deal
● Work with big Int'l projects e.g Adashe
● Buy myself a Lexus GX460 2020
● And Still have over $50k liquid funds
I would have bet my life that he's a dreamer
That was my mentality years ago
You can't blame me.
I'm not from a rich home
I didn't see it as possible
Well today . . . In addition to all that
● I'm a house owner
● Owner of @InstituteOphir
A leading web3 Dev institute
● Helped over 2000 Students
● My students have made over $200k
Mind blowing
I come from a poor home . . .
I'd call it poor even tho my parents could afford the basic necessities like
- Food
- Clothes
- and Shelter
People might say if you can afford this then you are middle class,
I beg to differ
Here's why you should too
I hold strongly this believe :
if you don't have the luxury to spend money freely without worrying where your next meal would come from . . .
"YOU ARE POOR".
Well let's say Poverty has levels.
I saw kids at the island spend Lavishly
I wanted that life. . .
My only option ?
- Get good grades
- Get a nice paying 9-5 Job
- Join the rate race
I applied for IT in major Firms but got rejected die to I lacked connection.
I never believed a degree holder would turn broke
A Microbiologist ended up as a Sales boy at his dad's shop.
It was devastating
It was depressing.
My peers left me behind.
Luckily a job at DOYIN came through my uncle . . . but that won't help my future.
It looked like the end.
With no one to tell . . . I was slowing dying
At some points i met this group of friends who introduced me to fraud.
It don't worked out
Then I was forced to do rituals.
I needed money but my values from home wouldn't let me.
I fled.
Hid in the house of a relative
I knew their secret so they wanted me dead
I was no longer battling just depression
But also running for my life.
Things all changed when I had a little chit chat with a friend
She advised I learn a skill.
I chose Web design.
I dedicated my life and went all in.
But at the end I got cheated
Here's what happened
I got into an academy that promised to reward the best student . . .
The best student to create a website for Sedab.
but instead of the Dev kit and amazing prize I was given just ₦3000.
It was depressing.
But no one was stopping me at this point.
Not even myself.
Finally I launched Quivira Press
I sold mobile data for months.
Untill I got a 40k gig from a woman who asked me to create a website for her
Then another from a senator who never paid me in full
But I was happy.
My dreams were beginning to align
Here's what happened next.
Soon I met @SamuelXeus
A friend who Was into Affiliate and Network Marketing like NNU.
I tried these things in pursuit of money
Until finally Joined Forsage and made my first Million
That smile of "I'm never going back" clicked
But not for long unfortunately
I got liquidated in Futures trading in my verge to multiply liquidity
Well I'm glad it happened.
It pushed me into DeFi
It was the bull run and we were printing
But here's a thing I'll tell you today.
Don't get blinded by the money that you forget the DeFi system.
Here 👇
Skill —> Investment —-> Spend
You need skills.
Then invest liquidity earned
Then spend.
That's the only way you survive what the market throws at you.
Here's more.
Despite being a tutor at Nirvana as at that time I moved to . . . .
I started learning a Skill "Blockchain Development"
I wanted to be my own boss.
I wanted to be the playmaker.
I didn't want to be a puppet to the market anymore
In the bid to help out as many people as I can to understand the system I launched Ophir Institute
@InstituteOphir is a leading web3 Dev institute
It all came as a crazy idea.
Now we are here.
Ophir has graduated over 2,000 Devs in the past years.
Most of these graduates are busy building the next generation Dapps on different Ecosystem
These are the monsters she's made 👇
1.) Ayola Babs a student who got liquidated on Binance.
Lost all his life savings to futures trading.
Dude was depressed then reached out to me
Babs recently just got a fully furnished apartment all to his name . . .
And a brand new car.
2.) A student who Lost N500,000 gambling.
And had just N300,000 left.
Joined the $0 - $5,000 program, made x3 that amount.
How?
Through Futures and job opportunities.
• Job Alpha: Identifying newly funded projects
• Private equity essential for finding the next 100x gem.
3.) A student at Ophir made Half a million naira . . .
From just a job
One thing that gives Ophir its name is the fact . . .
You don't just get to learn how to find Dev jobs.
But how to deliver effortlessly.
You just need to know how to sell YOU.
Then Also Deliver.
4.) Two Ophir students rake in $5,000 from a hackathon.
These are just few of my star pupils!
I pioneered the tech meta and paved the way for hackathons with some of my 🧵's
If they can do it, so can you can.
Ophir awaits you.
5.) A Student scores $6K Dev Job @InstituteOphir
Treats himself to iPhone 14 Promax
Here's the one thing I ring to them at Ophir
• Showcase your projects publicly
• Slide into project DMs
• Stay consistently strategic
You just can't mess up
Now I can proudly say I'm not the same person that still cries at midnights about my condition
I've not only helped myself I've
Taught over 1000 students and helped them
generate over $200k
Not only have they made money but made names for themselves too
Funded my parents lifestyle so they don't have to do a stressful job ever again
Got Buildings in my name
Bought myself a luxury car Lexus GX460 2020 Model
And looking back I'm only 25 and just 2years ago I was dead broke with no purpose
Now I've found my purpose
To help as many as I can Succeed through Web3 Jobs (Skills)
I've been poor and I've been able to change my situation because I hacked the system
I would be helping a lot of people succeed in the space
