Eton Blue. A vision stemmed from our past.
A look fit for the modern era, but inspired by our roots. Our new third shirt for the season echoes the spirit of our illustrious past, giving us the chance to etch another memory in the club's storied history.

Chelsea first wore Eton Blue when the club was founded back in 1905, as the Earl of Cadogan, the club’s president, was an old Etonian.
Holding the title of Viscount Chelsea, the president’s racing colours inspired the Eton Blue kit until 1907, before we switched to darker shades of Royal Blue - for which we are renowned for.
Racing colours for a flying start may be, but this shade of blue has never been forgotten. Eras have been harmonised, our roots analysed.
Joining Eton Blue as a catalyst for the inspiration of the shirt is the jade hue away kit from the 1986/87 season.
At this point, the first footballer to score a century of goals for Chelsea, George ‘Gatling Gun’ Hilsdon, had been replaced by the legendary Kerry Dixon as a shining star.
The colour actually prominent on the shirt, shorts and socks is named mint foam, providing a contrasting canvas for a black trim and a wolf grey pattern, adding a touch of modernity to a timeless classic.
Two iconic Chelsea kits, worn over eight decades apart.
118 years later, the legacy of our first ever kit lives on.
Eton Blue. A Chelsea original.
