GW 3 Notes - Teams ✍️
🕊️ Brighton - Far from solid defensively. Conceding lots of chances and with tough fixtures coming up, can’t expect many clean sheets
🔵 Chelsea - Comfortable win at home to Luton. Will be interesting to see if they can keep it up against better opponents.
GW 3 Notes - Players ✍️
🔵 Sterling - 2 goals, 1 assist and a very impressive performance. Key player for Chelsea and a great FPL pick.
🔴 Saka - Took a penalty again after Odegaard took one in GW 3. With pens, clearly the best FPL asset from Arsenal for me.
GW 4 Fixture to target 🎯
👕 MCI vs: FUL (H)
This is a game that could easily end in something like a 5-0 win for City. Fulham haven’t been good defensively and City are always brilliant attacking wise. Haaland, Foden, Dias is my preferred triple up from City, all great picks.
Midfielders 🎯
⚪️ Maddison (7.7m)
Spurs have been quite good in attack so far this season, and Maddison is involved in a lot of the chances created. Takes set pieces as well, and with Burnley and Sheffield Utd up next he’s obviously a great pick. Safe and reliable.
🔵 Sterling (7.2m)
Great performance against Luton of course, but it’s hard to say how much of that was due to Luton just being bad in defence. Sterling will continue to be involved though, and the fixtures are good, so he’s definitely a good pick. High ceiling and good xMins.
👕 Foden (7.6m)
Possibly even more explosive as an FPL asset than Maddison and Sterling. Plays for the best attack in the league, is a quality player and the fixtures are incredible. The only real question mark is his xMins and rotation risk when UCL starts.
Maddison vs Sterling vs Foden this week is extremely close. I’m leaning slightly towards Maddison as I’m not sure I’m comfortable with a Chelsea triple up, and Foden’s xMins might be too much of an issue.
All three are great picks though, and you can’t go wrong with any of them.
GW 4 Players to Keep:
Unless you’re in a position where your other option is to burn a transfer, I would keep Jordan Pickford this GW. Yes, Everton have a bad defence, but the GW 4 fixture, SHU (A), is so good that it’s worth keeping him for another GW in my opinion.
GW 4 Tips 💡
🔹 Try to avoid wildcarding, it’ll be worth saving for later. 2 FTs or a -4 is enough to fix most teams this week.
🔹 If you don’t own Mbeumo, it’s not too late to bring him in. Brentford’s fixtures are still good and I expect him to continue to do well.
Clean sheet % - GW 4
GW 4 - Top 5️⃣:
🥇 Man City - 56%
🥈 Chelsea - 50%
🥉 Crystal Palace - 44%
4️⃣ West Ham - 40%
5️⃣ Brentford - 38%
Stats taken from:
drafthound.com
GW 4 Captaincy:
Erling Haaland - 💰14.0
Fixture: FUL (H)
This is not the week to be different with captaincy. Haaland has every chance to haul at home to Fulham (he would’ve hauled last week had he not missed the pen) and there’s not really any other tempting option for GW 4.
GW 4 Differentials 🎲
1️⃣ Jarrod Bowen - 💰7.0
Ownership: 7.7%
Fixture: LUT (A)
2️⃣ Taiwo Awoniyi - 💰6.5
Ownership: 3.3%
Fixture: CHE (A)
3️⃣ Anthony Gordon - 💰5.5
Ownership: 0.9%
Fixture: BHA (A)
GW 4 Wildcard: Pros and Cons ✅❌
Pros ✅
- Can make changes in midfield and get Maddison, Foden and Sterling.
- Can change GK.
- Plan ahead and get Newcastle players in early.
Cons ❌
- Won’t have a WC for GW 8/9/19
- Will be selling good FPL assets (ARS/MUN mids etc)
GW 4 Wildcard 🃏
If you’re wildcarding this GW, I would recommend something like this 👇
My GW 4 Team 📊
2 FTs, £1.4m ITB
Likely transfer:
Martinelli ➡️ Maddison
