Are you a self-taught developer? Avoid making the same mistakes I did.
Don't fall for the hype in software development or at least I did

Mistake 1: Skipping the basics.
Don't ignore fundamental topics like data structures, algorithms, DBMS, OOPs, and algorithms analysis.
They're important for building a strong foundation.
Most of the on-campus interviews ask questions based out of this.

Mistake 2: Trying to learn ten things at once.
You can't learn multiple things at the same time.
Focus on one thing, and master it before moving on to the next.
What I did was learn every other technology and end up using the base stuff.

Mistake 3: Going too far.
Don't try to memorize every API reference. Instead, focus on understanding the basic concepts and learn as you go.
This approach will help you work more efficiently in the long run.
I remember memorizing each and every thing and its not worth it.

Mistake 4: Not staying up-to-date
Technology is constantly evolving, and it's important to keep up with the latest trends and developments.
Join developer communities, attend conferences, and read industry blogs to stay current
What you use now may not be there In the future

Mistake 5: Not collaborating enough.
Working in silos can lead to inefficiencies and missed opportunities.
Collaborate with your team members, share knowledge and skills, and learn from each other.
I never worked with someone else and this makes it hard to collaborate later

On-campus placement
On-campus placement will sort out students on the basis of aptitude sometimes.
Recently a few top mnc's came to our college and the first step was an aptitude test.
And off-campus placements don't have this approach.

Leetcoding
Most of the time, you will be asked to do a coding test inorder to get an interview.
I'm not that much in to DSA and all but most of the time that's how you get your first job.
