#Mughals_vs_Marathas🔥
In 1773 AD — Marathas invaded Rohilkhand ousting it's muslim rulers and further hoped to conquer Kora-Jahanabad and Allahabad.
In 1773 AD — Mughals marched to punish the Marathas who had dared to provoke Muslims.

On February 1773 AD — 50,000 Marathas led by Tukoji Holkar and Visaji Pant Beniwale crossed Yamuna to invade Awadh.
On February 1773 AD — 40,000 men led by Prime minister of Mughal Empire Shuja-ud-daulah marched against Marathas to punish them.
On 17th March 1773 AD — Nawab Wazir-ul-mumalik Shuja-ud-daulah Bahadur defeated Marathas.
On 27th March 1773 AD — Mahbub Ali led 5,000 Mughal troops and defeated 16,000 Marathas led by Visaji Krishna Beniwale at the Battle of Ramghat.
On 20th April 1773 AD — Nawab Shuja-ud-daulah Bahadur defeated Tukaji Holkar.
On April 1773 AD — Nawab Shuja-ud-daulah Bahadur defeated Ballajee Palondiah slaughtering 5,000 Marathas and capturing all their guns and few elephants.
On 1773 AD — Nawab Shuja-ud-daulah Bahadur and Nawab Hafiz Rehmat Khan Bahadur defeated Marathas the the Battle of Asadpur.
On December 1773 AD — Nawab Shuja-ud-daulah Bahadur sieged and captured Etawah fort and district from Marathas.
On 1774 AD — Naib Mir Bakshi-ul-mumalik wa Naib wazir-ul-mumalik Mirza Najaf Khan Bahadur captured all Maratha territories lying between Ganga and Yamuna.
This action sealed the Mughal-Maratha War of 1773 AD and Mughals would see a duration of stability till 1783 AD.
Outcome of Mughal-Maratha War (1773 AD) :
(1) Mughals permanently ousted Marathas from Rohilkhand on which they would never cast eyes.
(2) Marathas failed to conquer Kora-Jahanabad & Allahabad.
(3) Marathas left Delhi.
(4) Muslim prestige and valour was revived.
