To all #UPSC aspirants
July to November is the window for main’s preparation. This is the time when you read as well as build content for all the 4 GS papers. (+Optionals)
Confused how to make notes for the 4 GS papers. Then read on. 👇👇
The Art of Note-Making
#UPSC2023
First step is to read the mains syllabus of all GS papers carefully.
Observe there are approx 18-19 syllabus points in each paper. The objective is to build content on all syllabus points paper wise.
Download a few toppers notes to observe the way they build content.

Second is to start preparing your content.
Read any material ‘TWICE’ regarding a particular syllabus point.
Keep the syllabus bullet points as headers in your notes.
Keep the word limit to around 300 words.(Remember you need just enough content to write a 15 marker)

Use less English &sentences and More dimensions, facts, examples, case studies, intros, conclusions, quotes & diagrams.
For a few syllabus points refer to topper notes, for a few to the Internet, few standard books & few coaching books.

What is important is to not refer to more than one book for a specific syllabus point.
One source = One syllabus point= content building.
Like this build for all the syllabus points of all papers.
Few points require you to read entire books- for them refer to summary books.
Note: Don’t attempt to build perfect notes. The idea is building something for everything.
Perfection will come when you read the same notes 10 times and add value each time. So get going guys.
If this helps then please like and retweet the FIRST tweet 🐥 in the thread 🙏🏻🙂
