of 18/ THREAD: Body Language Analysis No. 4711: Donald Trump Jr's "I don’t snort — all — cocaine, like, it’s not my thing" #BodyLanguage #BodyLanguageExpert #BehaviorAnalysis #NonverbalCommunication #EmotionalIntelligence #DonaldTrumpJr #Cocaine
of 18/  Today at a "Turning Point USA" event, Donald Trump Jr. distanced himself from accusations of cocaine use. The following is a body language and statement analysis of him during that moment.
of 18/  A crucial thing that should immediately jump out at you is what Trump Jr says, "...I don't snort — all — cocaine, like, it's not my thing". He starts to say what sounds like "all" just prior to him saying, "cocaine", then he catches himself.
of 18/  Notice he said, "I don't snort ..." — Yes, cocaine can be snorted — but it also can be injected, swallowed, or smoked. Is it that "Cocaine" isn't "his thing",  — or does he just prefer a different method of using (abusing)?
of 18/  Or is it that he does indeed abuse cocaine, only he just doesn't "snort" it "all", but his "thing" is that he self-administers via multiple different routes? Did he abuse cocaine in the past, and now he abuses other drug(s)?
of 18/  If he wasn't saying "all", what did he say? Regardless what word he's saying, his behavior of mis-speaking just prior to saying "cocaine" — is a screaming red flag.
of 18/  Although we can't hear what was said (or perhaps asked) before the beginning of this video, why did Trump Jr even speak about these allegations — at all — if they are false? Thus, this appears to be an Unsolicited Denial — a profoundly strong signal of deception.
of 18/  Toward the end of saying the second syllable (0:10) of "cocaine" — he thrusts his jaw forward? This signals an adrenaline surge.
of 18/ A second later, as he says, "thing", Trump Jr. displays a Fear-mouth expression. In addition, his eyelids are closed (psychological blocking, diminished eye contact — signs of deception) while he's trying (unsuccessfully) to force a smile.
of 18/ Moreover, simultaneously, note that he also displays a 'Neck of Fear' (a tightening-up of the platysmus and sternocleidomastoid muscles).
of 18/  If we go back a few seconds (just as Trump Jr. was saying "my", we can see his dramatic mandible (jaw) retraction (backward, resulting in an evanescent overbite) — another configuration characteristic of a Mouth of Fear".
of 18/  If we go back to the 0:07 mark, as he says, "that", we can see a clear extreme lateral movement to his jaw.
of 18/ This is a dynamic is consistent with "Cocaine Jaw" — a movement phenomenon commonly seen in chronic cocaine abusers and also evident on multiple past videos, posted by Donald Trump Jr.
of 18/ Superimposed upon this extreme lateral jaw movement is another component of asymmetrical mouth speaking — which is strongly correlated with feigned-machismo, braggadocio, and deception.
of 18/ Trump Jr also exhibits a lisp — which seems to be relatively new (also associated with an unusual mouth asymmetry) — heard during 0:04 when he says, "friends" — suggestive of possible oral pathology.
of 18/ Close to the end of this clip (0:13), Trump Jr displays a fear-shock expression — a nonverbal equivalent of "Oh, Shit — did I really just say that?!"
of 18/  SUMMARY: Donald Trump Jr's body language, paralanguage, and verbal language in this video indicates that, with extremely high probability, he is lying and that he does indeed abuse cocaine and/or other drugs.
