A Thread !!🧵🪡
If you missed the first thread, here's a quick recap to get you started
▫️The Asian session consolidates due to low volatility
▫️It opens from 12am and closes at 9am WAT
▫️It is composed of 5 great markets
You can read more from the thread itself ⤵️
Traders find trading the Asian session boring due to its slow and choppy movements. But the Asian session can be greatly harnessed and used as a powerful tool for catching moves printed in other sessions
Ask me how 🤔
Well I'd be explaining how in this Thread
Follow me ⤵️
Below are the 3 solid ways you can make the most of the Asian session
▫️Asian x Other session correlation patterns
▫️Asian High and lows as either Tp points or support & Resistance
▫️Standard deviation method of catching moves printed in the London & Newyork session
One by one
These are the most important Asian session patterns to note !!
If the Asia market consolidates, we should expect the London session to be volatile (pump or dump)
Then the newyork session either continues in the direction of the Londons session or it reverses
Simply to put it⤵️
PATTERN 1
▫️Asia (Consolidates)
▫️London (Volatile) pump or dumps
▫️Newyork ( London movement Continuation or Reversal) ie either pump or dump
PATTERN 2
▫️If Asia ( Dumps )
▫️London session ( Consolidates )
▫️Newyork session (Continuation of Asia dump) or (Reverses with a pump)
PATTERN 3 ??
Lol,
You mustn't be spoonfed everything
You can backtest and find other working patterns as well , there are alot of them rn
If you want to get the indicator I used in this experiment
Here's now to apply it to your trading view below⤵️
2)
Asian High and lows can be harnessed greatly, they can serve as support & resistance and their high can serve as a Tp for your long
Whilst their Low can serve as TP for your short
To get started
Add 👉🏽 Asiansessionhighlowmidlines Indicator
You can find it in the last 🧵
Essentially price would most certainly tap on both the highs and lows before it takes out liquidity from any of them
Here's a pictorial guide ⤵️
3)
STDV method is one you can harness to your advantage if you're confused on where to set your entry at, to ride the London/NY move
This can be tricky so you must know this ⤵️
▫️Don't treat it as just a line, view it as an area. Then look around for your AOVs (Area of value)
▫️It is not a holy grail
▫️You can look for entries at 10 pm market close in case of the absence of AOVs around the STDV line
▫️It fails at times just like every other strategy
Here's detailed how I use it in combination with these factors above & other strategies I trade
My few weeks ago trades on XAU leveraging on just the strategy
Easy peasy !!
Seems Gold respects it more
Or Maybe it's just a good week !!
If you liked all That you saw and would want same indicator replicated on your Chart
Here's my settings to do that ⤵️
▫️First add tap on the FIB retracement tool
▫️Then tap on its settings and follow my guide below
And I know there are a bunch of us who do not understand pictures & written words
I managed to sneak in a video before my iPad's battery went low
Video guide on how I lev the STDV on few setups below⤵️
That'd be all for now ❤️
