Whenever you harvest plants e.g maize, beans, soya, banana, coffee, tea, etc. You harvest nutrients trapped in plant parts. If you work that soil year after year without replenishing it. It's productivity shrinks as well.
Remember due to high demand for food in homes& also need for money by poor farming households. There isn't time to rest land. Farmers work it year after year. The organic manure would work bt remember the nutrients trapped in the manure need bacterium to mobilize the trapped
nutrients into usable nutrients..so that the plants can use it. This needs time too but remember most farmers introduce organic manure (those who have the knowledge and could afford to make it) at planting or slightly before planting denying the time needed to mobilize
the nutrients needed to be used by the plant at early growth stages of competitive growth. Hence nutritional deficiency. Remember the plants are like babies you can't deny food and give it to the baby when you wish.
The baby will be undernourished, hence poor immunity and prone to diseases which even leads to death. Take these plants as babies. Thanks.
