Most creators cast their net wide to catch attention. But if you try to write to everyone, you write to no one.
Instead, get clear on your ‘One True Fan’.

• Desires
• Dreams
The smaller your aim the bigger the result.
Survive the dip.
When you start online, everything’s exciting. You’re motivated. But then the results slow down. It becomes a grind. You begin to doubt and fear.
This is The Dip. Every creator faces it.
The secret is to zoom out.
Expect results in 2 years, not 2 months.
Be a purple cow.
AI generated content is on the rise. Every niche is saturated. Few people are unique.
The truth is you’ll never rise above the crowd by copying them.
You need to be different. Better. Special.
Don’t aim for average. Aim for remarkable.
Share your story.
Everyone is searching for the special tactic to stand out online.
But there is no secret. Only stories. People aren’t looking for gurus, they’re looking for guides. So don’t just tell them what to do.
Be a storyteller and show them.
Make a difference.
Be honest with yourself.
Have you created anything truly impactful over the past week?
If so, great. But if not, you’re playing it too safe. There’re no points for average content online.
Don’t just create content. Create change.
Stop overcomplicating it.
Most people think the secret to building a successful business is to change the world. But you only need to solve one problem.
Think:
What's a specific solution you can build today to help your audience win tomorrow?
Get clear on your values.
Defining your audience isn’t about age or profession. It’s about how we think and feel. Less demographics. More psychographics.
Get clear on what you stand for and against.
Create content to attract similar people. Build your business serving them.
Be a Linchpin.
A linchpin is a leader. An action taker. A problem solver. They take bold steps and ignore the status quo.
In the workplace this gets you in trouble.
Online, it gets results.
Don’t be a commodity. Be an authority. Aim for indispensable.
Quieten the lizard brain.
Playing it safe. Being boring. Avoiding risk.
We all have the same outdated operating system. The difference between the successful and the disappointed are the successful don’t let it stop them.
Don’t let your mind hold you back.
Commit to consistency.
The best marketers don’t just turn up for a day. They turn up for a decade. They constantly innovate and serve their tribe.
Everyone wants to build the business of their dreams.
But it’s relentless, focused action that makes it a reality.
