1/ Yesterday, the engineering team unveiled a revolutionary architecture proposal.
I've had a chance to review it, and I must say, it's truly groundbreaking.
This marks a new era for us Polygonners, and I'm eagerly anticipating the experience of such innovation and uniqueness.
2/ What differentiates polygon from other scaling solutions?
Definitely ze risks it takes towards innovation
Over the past years since it’s launch it has tired out various scaling techniques & these have proven useful for today
For 2day, now they know rightful path & it’s 2.0
3/ From sidechaining to proposed Validium to being first zkEVM; first runner narrative
Taking the lead for others to follow
This is the ‘Divergence Phase’ where they take the risks by experimenting and trying out every possible way to scale ETH 👇🏻
4/ The ‘Convergence stage’ is the solution; it’s the now. It’s 2.0
It’s the architecture
The architecture is a collation of all chains operating together
All in one for better
As they aim to be the value layer of the internet where anyone can create, exchange, program value.
5/ The architecture is made up of 4 parts
• Staking Layer
• Interop Layer
• Execution Layer
• Proving Layer
Staking Layer- users gain here from economic incentives through a decentralized Restaking model
Restaking yes similar to Eigenlayer but for polygon chains
6/ Validators gain massively here
This is how it works-
It uses POS and a decentralized validator pool, along with smart contracts for managing validators and individual chains.
It offers Validators rewards and simplified infra for chains. Chains enjoy decentralization
7/ Interop Layer- this is where the unified liquidity and scalability comes in.
This layer aims to unify all aspects of polygon 2.0. How? This 👇🏻
It simplifies cross-chain messaging, making the network feel like a single chain.
8/ It enables seamless transfers of assets & supports near-instant, atomic txns.
This layer uses the zkEVM’s LxLy protocol's Message Queues, allowing secure message consumption
A unique Aggregator enhances cross-chain txns, reducing gas. Operated by Validators- decentralized!
9/ Execution layer- like it’s name Execution’ this is where the action takes place, where blocks are produced.
It powers all Polygon chains, processing txns in sequenced batches.

10/ Proving layer
Basically generates proofs for all txns
It is a high-performance ZK proving protocol that generates proofs for all types of txns.
It includes a powerful prover, a state machine constructor, and customizable state machines.
11/ Benefits include efficient proof generation and cross-chain communication.
