Dexscreener is an underrated tool for finding new gems, but few know how to use it properly.
Here is a guide on how you can use @Dexscreener to find low cap gems before the crowd.
🧵
1/ Dexscreener is a platform that allows you to find the price action of any token trading on Dexes.
People use it to look at new token prices and liquidity pools, but you can also use it to filter for new tokens with potential.
2/ The key is understanding how to filter is in the "New Pairs" section. On default, this area will show you recent pairs with the most volume.
It's messy at first but you can filter tokens based off your desired parameters.
3/ The key things to look out for under filters are as follows.
- Minimum Liquidity
- FDV
- 24h buys & sells
- Pair Age
4/ How you use your filters depend on what you are looking for.
I like to filter pairs that have been out for at least 24 hours because it reduces your chances of finding rugs.
Under pair age, I would put minimum pair age as 24 hours and set 200 hours as the maximum.
5/ Here are some example settings.
Early
Minimum Liquidity: 5000
Minimum to Maximum FDV: 10000-100000
24h buys & sells: 5
Maximum Pair Age: 24 or 48 hr
Mid Caps
Minimum Liquidity: 10000
Minimum to Maximum FDV: 10000-250000
24h buys & sells: 10
Maximum Pair Age: 72 hrs
6/ Even after the filters, you'll find that the majority of tokens are meme coins.
I try to find newer utility coins that could potentially through all these memecoins by first looking at the name and trying to find their socials.
7/ There will be many fake utility projects that are actually rugs. Once you find their socials, ask the devs questions and see how they respond.
You can look out for.
- Proper Documentation
- Working Product
- Liquidity Locks
- Feasibility of Project.
8/ Even then, you are still likely to find rugs. Especially for small caps, you don't need to put a lot in because these are high risk/high reward.
Work small, observe which projects do well and which don't, and be patient.
9/ Once you click "Apply" for your filters, you can copy the browser link and paste it somewhere you can come back to.
Your filters will be saved through the browser link so you can go back to these filters without needing to type them in again.
10/ Watchlist
Another underrated tool in Dexscreener is Watchlist, where you can put notable projects in categories and keep track of them quickly instead of needing to go back and forth.
To create a new list, simply go to "Manage my Lists" and give it a name.
11/ Multichart
Dexscreener also has a multichart section where you can keep track of multiple projects at once.
Very useful if you are tracking the price action of various projects without needing to search up each of them.
12/ Alerts
Since most people can't be on their screen all day, Dexscreener has an amazing alerts feature that notifies you when a token goes above or below a specified price.
Just press the "alert" button under any token and set what price you want to be notified at.
13/ Charting on Dexscreener
You can also chart directly on Dexscreener with their indicators. You can draw, add support and resistance lines, and create Fibs without needing another tool.
I like to use Fibs a lot so it's nice to chart it directly here.
14/ There is so much more you can do with Dexscreener, such as filtering based on specific chains or Dexes.
For a free tool, Dexscreener has a wealth of information that you can use to find underrated projects that are flying under the radar.
