At 22 years old I left my hometown and disappeared for 6 months to get out of my comfort zone.
This was the turning point in my life.
I will share my journey and if you're thinking about doing the same, here are some tips to help you with your journey.
Thread🧵
Before you go on your trip, you need to know why you're going and also be in a position to be able to go.
My sole purpose of this trip was to work on self development & improve in all aspects of my life.
1. Mentality
2. Health
3. Financial
4. Skill
5. Creative
6. Experience
My Journey:
Now we will go back in time to January 2022. At this point it was a new year. I was about to turn 22 years old in March. I was a college dropout, had quit my full time job, and had been trading for 2 years but knew I needed to take my trading to the next level.
From my full time job and other income sources I was able to save enough money to cover at least 2 years out worth of living expenses. I was a project manager & designer for a 7 figure design & build firm.
So before you decide to go on your journey you should have at least 12-24 months worth of living expenses saved assuming you don't make a single dollar on your journey. Submitting to time to work on self development is the goal here.
This is key because you don't want to be stressed about money during this self-isolation. You need to accept the fact that you might not make a single dollar during this trip in order to grow. This trip is all about setting yourself up for future success. Trust the process.
Once I was financially able to take this big leap into the unknown I had to put a plan together in order for me to achieve my goals to set me up for life.
The first 50 days of my trip I wanted to do a #Project50 challenge since it would help me with my goals.
1. Mentality
I needed a change in environment. Being in one place my entire life got old. I started getting to comfortable which led to me slowly getting lazier. I love nature and needed a change in scenery to help improve my mental state.
2. Health
I was very fit growing up but then covid hit + had a full time job so I got lazy and stopped going to the gym for 2 years. Body started to look like shit so knew I needed to get back in shape and have the gym in my daily routine along with following a proper meal plan
Along with gym & proper diet, it's important to get in 7+ hours of sleep, get enough sunlight daily, get 10k+ steps in daily, journal and meditate. Meditation can be different for everyone. It can be a walk, it can be in the sauna, it can be sitting with your eyes closed, etc
Here is a before & after pic of my physique from before my trip to month 6 of my trip:
3. Financial
Having parents that were immigrants it naturally pushed me to work hard & have big dreams. I knew I wanted trading to be my main focus and then eventually get into real estate and build a personal brand as well.

4. Skill
In order for me to reach my financial goals I needed to take my trading skills to the next level so I dedicated this 6 months to learn ICT. I knew nothing about ICT when I left for this trip. By the end of the trip I wanted to learn it & have my own trading model.
5. Creative
Trading is a lonely business since it's you vs you in the market. It's all about discipline and following your same system over and over again so I wanted to grow a personal/lifestyle brand to get in a creative flow mindset. Follow my IG to see my vlogs.
6. Experience
By going to new places I knew it would be a life changing experience. Seeing beautiful places, eating new foods, experiencing different cultures. These experiences and memories will love on with me forever.
With these 6 goals in mind I then put a schedule of what I wanted my daily routine to be. Once you reverse engineer your daily routine to create your perfect schedule, find places where it would work with your routine.
For me Europe was the best place that would fit my routine because I was able to study both the London & NY sessions so the timezone was perfect. Plus I have never been to Europe before so it would be out of my comfort zone & it's beautiful there.
After I put my plan together in Jan 2022, I sold my car in Feb 2022, packed a luggage & a backpack, and then went off to start my journey in March 2022. Traveling light keeps things simple.
All I needed was my phone, mac, ipad, & enough clothes for 1-2 weeks without washing.
In terms of traveling, you can either stay at 1 location or travel to multiple. For me I decided to do multiple so I would book 1 month stays on Airbnb & go to a new country or place every month.
Make sure the bus/metro, gym & supermarkets are walking distance away from Airbnb.
I recommend doing at least 1 months stays because:
1. You save money booking long term stays
2. You get to truly experience the culture & environment as you aren't rushed
3. If you do shorter stays then you're gunna be moving around a lot which will distract you from your goals
Places I stayed:
March: Nice, France
April: Milan, Italy
May: Lake Como, Italy
June: London
July: London
August: London
I flew into Nice, took a train to Milan, train to Lake Como, then took a flight to London & stayed there for 3 months because it was outside the EU (no visa)
After those 6 months I came back to the states and then started applying what I learned through prop firm challenges. I failed my first 2 challenges through FTMO because of the time limit. Once @MyFundedFX came out with the no time limit I bought a 200k and passed it first try.
Now in 2023 the hard work from last year is starting to pay off but for me this is just the start
• I'm 200k funded
• I have 850k in purchased challenges as my next goal is to get to 1M funded
• Mentally the strongest I've ever been
• Physically in the best shape of my life
I started my journey in March 2022. Exactly 1 year later I got 200k funded in March 2023. Also in March 2023 I went back to Europe and have grown my twitter from 4k to 20k. It just goes to show a lot can change in a short period of time if you have a plan and trust the process.
If you're hesitant to take that leap of faith, I hope this thread helps you take it. Have a solid plan before you go so when the time comes, having a good plan makes it a lot easier to execute your goals. Good luck on your journey.
