To create the 3-2-2-3, Alexander-Arnold inverts from the right back position beside Fabinho, while Robertson stays deeper to form the back three. Additionally, the wingers hold the width and the 8s move up in the half-spaces.
Apart from changing the system, Klopp also adapted the way Liverpool controls the game. Rather than focusing on a pretty direct style of play, the Reds now seek to be more patient in possession and aim to advance together with the ball on the ground.
