A 19 year old man named Rizwan was arrested in Kerala for pelting stones at Vande Bharat express and damaging the train, However, the boy was later released on the grounds of the damages not being too 'severe'.

On 2nd January 2023, just 4 days after launch of Vande Bharat Express from Howrah, It was attacked by miscreants and as a result, a door glass got cracked.
On 3rd January 2023, 4 men pelted stones at Howrah-New Jalpaiguri Vande Bharat Express in Katihar, Bihar and vandalised two coaches and shattered glass doors.
Again on 20 Jan, The same train was attacked again in Katihar, This time the right side glass window was damaged.
On 25 Feb, Stones were pelted at the Chennai-Mysuru Vande Bharat Express near KR Puram which damaged as much as 6 side windows, luckily no one was gravely injured, Bengaluru rail division termed this as the 34th stone pelting incident in the last 2 months.
Then on 12 March, Vande Bharat was attacked again in West Bengal's Farrakka, this was the 5th attack on this train, leaving the window panes of a coach damaged.
On 6 April, Stones were pelted at Vishakhapatnam-Secundrabad Vande Bharat Express, this was the third attack on this train which left a window glass broken.
On 1 May, Stones were pelted at the newly launched Vande Bharat express in Kerela at Khozikode leaving the the glass window pane of seats 63 and 64 of C4 coach damaged.
This are just few example as there are way many attacks that are taking places in not only at Vande Bharat Express but at every attempt of the govt to develop India, There were 13 incident of stone pelting in just 1 month in only 1 single route of Ajmer-Delhi Vande Bharat Express
