After 8 years of hardwork, I finally treated myself with an iPhone
6 ways on how you can buy it to within โ‚น50,000 (without exchange)๐Ÿงต๐Ÿ‘‡
[1] Wait for the right sale
Big Billion Day Sale is there but many times, e-comm players come with special offers on specific phones.
Flipkart was running a sale on iPhone 13. It was priced at โ‚น57,999. On other platforms (Croma), it is priced at โ‚น62,999.
Saved: โ‚น5,000
[2] Use the right credit cards
Someone from your good friends will always have the relevant credit card which has maximum cashback available.
Used Flipkart Axis Bank Card for availing 5% discount on โ‚น57,999.
Saved: โ‚น2,900
[3] Apple Employee Discount
If your friend is an apple employee, they can get it for you at 25% discount.
On the top of that, they get $500 of store credit once in every 2 years. This is based on what I've read on the internet.
[4] Claiming GST Credit
I run a business so I have access to claiming 12% GST. I use the phone for my business purpose so I can claim GST credit on Phone.
What if you don't run a business? You know! ๐Ÿ˜‚
Saved: โ‚น6,215
[5] Claiming Depreciation
After all the discounts and claiming GST credit, the iPhone costed me net โ‚น48,884.
Since, I fall in the 30% income tax bracket, I'll claim depreciation of this phone and it'll save me another 30% of this net cost in taxes.
Will Save: โ‚น14,665
Now, I didn't exchange the phone as of yet but still it costed me net โ‚น34,219.
There's another killer hack which even I didn't know.
Here's it๐Ÿ‘‡
[6] Intermiles Cashback
If you make this purchase using Intermiles generated link, you can save another 1%.
You get cashback in the form of intermiles credits which you can redeem while travelling.
Additional Savings: โ‚น550
Those who've used it can elaborate it better.
Finally, after all these tricks, you can exchange your phone. I didn't because I don't like this process.
This can save you another โ‚น10,000-โ‚น20,000
I believe in living frugally but since most of my work happens over phone so I need a phone that is tough and work well.
Invested 60K in OnePlus 9 Pro 5G 2 years back but the quality was too bad.
So technically, iPhone 13 is a lesser expensive phone
It was a need, not a want!
If there are more methods you know on saving money while purchase mobile phones, do share in the comments ๐Ÿ‘‡
Also, do tell me how do you treat yourself for the hardwork you do? ๐Ÿ‘‡

TL;DR
[1] Wait for the right offers
[2] Use the best credit card
[3] Apple employee discount
[4] GST input
[5] Depreciation
[6] Intermiles cashback
If you didn't read. Do read! I missed out on some cashbacks which you shouldn't :)
How do you treat yourself for the hardwork you do?
P.S. It is a need in my case. I have to travel due to nature of my work and still make videos for YouTube etc.
iPhone fulfils the purpose of both - a phone and a good quality camera/mic.
