An SEO-driven content strategy is built on topics, but manual topic clustering is tedious and slow.
You have to invest a lot of time into keyword research before even publishing content, and then you need to maintain large spreadsheets.
Even worse, there is no straightforward approach to knowing whether you have gaps in your topic clusters.
One solution is entity-based content planning. Sounds much more complicated than it is because Inlinks built a tool that does it for you, called Content Planner.
Here is how it works:
Content Planner
1/ maps your keywords to entities
2/ builds a topic graph based on your entities
3/ makes recommendations for new entities based on gaps in your topic graph
In the screenshot below, you can see how I’m missing a few important entities related to the cluster β€œSEO” on my site, like β€œmobile SEO”.
It took me 5 min. to get those recommendations.
