History of #Telangana is an Initiative by @ChronologyGuide to document Genealogical History of every dynasty that ruled over Telangana.
Starting with the most recent dynasty (Asaf Jahi's) I will be going back in Chronological order until the Mauryan Empire.

Telangana is the youngest state of India formed in 2014 after it was bifurcated from the state of Andhra Pradesh following a prolonged Telangana Movement (1969-2014).
Telangana was part of Andhra Pradesh from 1956-2014 & before that it was Part of Hyderabad State 1948-1956.

The Asaf Jahi Dynasty 1724-1948.
The #Nizam's of Hyderabad.
The Princely State of #Hyderabad was the Largest princely state in Pre-Independent India. #AsafJah I, former Grand Vizier of the #Mughal Empire established this dynasty in 1724.
History of Telangana - Part 2
#Qutb Shahi Dynasty 1518-1687.
Before the Asaf Jahi Dynasty Hyderabad was under the rule of Mughal Empire for around 37 year. Before the Mughals Hyderabad was under the Qutb Shahi's.
Many historical monuments of #Hyderabad are from this era.

The Bahmani Sultanate 1347-1527.
This was first Independent #Muslim Monarchy that ruled over Deccan. Later #Bahmani Kingdom fragmented into 5 Deccan Sultanates namely #Golkonda, #Berar, #Bijapur, #Bidar & #Ahmednagar Sultanates
History of #Telangana - Part 4
The #Kakatiya Dynasty 1163-1323.
This was the only* Independent #Telugu Monarchy in the timeline of Indian History. Established after the decline of the Western #Chalukyas they would rule for 150 years after which the Delhi Sultanate succeeded them.

The Western Chalukyas 973-1200
The Western Chalukyas who are formally also known as the Kalyani Chalukyas were descendants of the Badami Chalukyas. They overthrew the Rashtrakutas and declared independence & ruled for more than 200 yrs.
