Here’s to QUIT ANYTHING in the world… for GOOD… in just THREE easy steps.
THREAD.
1. Stop doing the thing
The thing does not happen by itself. Your hands do not have a mind of their own and force your body to do whatever it is you want to quit.
Literally stop doing the thing
2. Decide that you quit, and will not revisit it
Important but crucial part. There are things you do, and things you do not do.
Affirm it clearly to yourself that u have decided to make this thing change from the ‘things that I do’ column, to the ‘things that I don’t do’ column
3. Don’t attach a label to it (or any significance)
Never affirm that you are an addict. (Or ex addict)
Never position yourself as a victim.
The mind is not recalcitrant.
It must obey orders.
Never instruct your subconscious to keep you hooked.
Just change columns. Shift. Done
Change can take place in an instant.
There is no rulebook that says change must be slow & painful.
Simply decide you’re done with it & be done with it. Yes it really IS that easy.
Decide.
And it’s done.
Because you are no longer some1 who does it. Immediate permanent change.
