@marcosluis2186 @growthcurrency @jayclouse @pauldm @PatFlynn @JMatthewMcGarry @justinmooretfam A few thoughts.
1. The quickest path to that money is a service business where you take on clients as a one-off or retainer relationship.
But if you don't want to go that route...
@marcosluis2186 @growthcurrency @jayclouse @pauldm @PatFlynn @JMatthewMcGarry @justinmooretfam 2. For the Data Gigs newsletter:
One big potential issue is I assume once people get a gig, they're likely to stop reading so you'll have high churn.
Might be better to have a newsletter aimed at Data people where gigs is only a piece of it.
That said...
@marcosluis2186 @growthcurrency @jayclouse @pauldm @PatFlynn @JMatthewMcGarry @justinmooretfam You have an audience of people looking for new gigs so you should think about what else they need and come up with products to monetize that.
A guide on how to get your next gig, a class on how to interview well etc.
Create your own products - don't rely on affiliates.
@marcosluis2186 @growthcurrency @jayclouse @pauldm @PatFlynn @JMatthewMcGarry @justinmooretfam 3. For the AWS newsletter:
You want to focus on how this newsletter will help people get a transformation they want.
Just sharing information on a specific topic is OK, but if it's not actionable it's not as valuable.
Also, anyone can do it (in theory).
So...
@marcosluis2186 @growthcurrency @jayclouse @pauldm @PatFlynn @JMatthewMcGarry @justinmooretfam Try to come up with a unique angle or voice or approach, or something that makes it more valuable.
Again - products are better than affiliate deals.
Maybe a paid community at some point?
If you're just going to go the affiliate/ads route, you're going to need a large audience.
@marcosluis2186 @growthcurrency @jayclouse @pauldm @PatFlynn @JMatthewMcGarry @justinmooretfam One final tip:
My guess (could be wrong) is that your fastest path to the money you want is to focus on one newsletter as opposed to trying to build two simultaneously.
Personally, I'd focus on cracking the code with one and then using that game plan to launch another.
