Making money with your business starts with understanding the customer.
Yet 98% of businesses don't know how to really do this.
Here are 13 steps to help supercharge your customer understanding by using ChatGPT:
Let's say you have a very primitive idea of your customer.
In this case, let's imagine it's a
"digital entrepreneur who just started his/her journey selling digital products (courses, ebooks, etc)."
What can we do to kickstart this process?
We open up ChatGPT and type:
[Target: Digital entrepreneurs who are starting their journey.
They sell infoproducts on the Internet]
Please give me 3 buyer personas:
Once we have these three buyer personas, we can select one which might fit our target.
I'll start with Samantha, as she seems to be looking for easy-to-use tools and step-by-step guides (which I've sold in the past).
We want to understand what makes her tick.
So what do we do?
We type:
"Let's dive deep in Samantha.
What keeps her AWAKE at night?"
And ChatGPT starts giving out some guesses (quite accurate in my experience) of what keeps her awake at night.
Let's continue by asking ChatGPT what are her deepest FEARS.
As you can see, although it's a bit generic, it's quite on point with the initial avatar we have chosen.
Next we need to know what causes her PAIN.
And we want to know how she feels in pain psychologically, spiritually and physically.
This will help us create better conversations with this kind of person (such as talking about the sensation of feeling overwhelmed)
Next we want to know is what HUMILIATES her, what are her main insecurities:
Next in line is "what makes her ANGRY?"
As you can see, we're digging deeper and deeper.
We now have lots of ideas for content, for what to say, and stuff we need to be aware of when we launch our product.
i.e. Having lots of customer support can be a big difference for her
Who is she FURIOUS with?
Now, you might see there are some things that tend to repeat.
Also, remember that you can dive deeper if you ask ChatGPT to do it. Something like "dive deep in the fifth point" will give you more details.
What does she WORRY about most?
Worries are about the future, while pains are about the present.
Here we have some ideas of what her future problems can be, so we can also tackle them with our product/service.
Next: What are her VALUES like?
We tend to pay more attention to people that understand our values, as this creates a stronger bond.
If she values family, she will probably resonate more with a post that talks about family+business than one that doesn't.
This is a good one: What BOOKS is she reading?
If you're running ads, knowing which authors your avatar is listening to is a great guide.
You can also read these books and get a better idea of what language resonates more with your avatar and which ideas he/she will be open to.
Similar to the last point.
You can use examples from these movies and dig deeper in her psyche.
Keep in mind that it's not necessary that she is watching all of these movies, but they can be a good indication of what topics and strategies she might be interested in learning.
Now let's ask ChatGPT about her possible secret fantasies/desires:
The reason for this is that we need to have a clear map of where she is (her pains/problems) and where she wants to arrive (desires/fantasies), in order to make our product the VEHICLE that will take her there.
And, finally, we want to know where does she HANGS with others like her.
While, this answer will probably not be exact, it can give us a good idea of where to start looking based on her profile.
In this case, I'd look for FB groups where other Stay-at-home moms hang out.
Now, there are other questions you can ask, but didn't want this to become an infinite tweet thread, but rather give you an idea of how this process works.
Also, while ChatGPT can give you an idea of your buyer persona, it's not a replacement for TALKING to your prospects.
This is just another tool that you can use to get a better picture and a better direction on where to start and what to do, rather than trying to do all the guesswork by yourself.
Bonus: Ask ChatGPT to give you LEAD MAGNET suggestions.
So, in summary, we created 3 buyer personas. Chose one and analyzed:
• Pain points
• Fears
• Insecurities
• Values
• What makes her angry
• Books & movies she might be interested in
• Her secret fantasies
• Forums and groups she might be a member of
These threads take me a long time to create for you.

I'd love to create this as an app, looking for a tech co-founder who I can join forces with.
This is just the tip of the iceberg.
