Have you ever done a calendar audit?
It's a simple way to boost productivity and free up time.
Ask yourself these questions:
1. Is every meeting scheduled for 30 or 60 minutes? They don't need to be.
2. Are there things on your calendar that could be replaced with an email?
3. How many things on your calendar did you initiate as opposed to other people? Don't outsource control of your time.
4. What percentage of your week is unscheduled? The higher that number, the more productive you're likely to be.
5. Look at your recurring commitments. What would happen if you did them half as often or for half as long?
6. What thing on your calendar are you most looking forward to? How can you schedule more of that?
7. How far in advance are you booked? Are you sure those things will be the best use of your time on those days?
8. Does everything on your calendar have a clear, specific purpose that aligns with your goals? If others are involved in them, do they know that purpose and goal?
9. Look backwards. What were the three best uses of your scheduled time last month?
10. Remove one thing from your calendar next week and see how that feels. You've got to start somewhere.
Now that you've got your calendar in order, here's a 30-second routine you can do every morning to help you make the most of each individual day:
This calendar audit is just one example of the strategies and systems I share every week in my newsletter to simplify audience and business growth for creative entrepreneurs.
