I’ve sold $15,000,000+ in total.
• All cold traffic.
• Profitably.
• Bootstrapped.
Here are the 9 marketing rules I learned…
Took me 10 years and $100,000+ in mentorships and lost money to learn ‘em.

1. Sell before you build.
• Build a sales page.
• Run ads.
• Get 5 sales.
• Stop. Look at cost per sale.
Send an email to the buyers saying the product will be created soon and they can choose:
Get their money back or wait.

2. Check scalability.
If you’re selling a $47 product and your cost per purchase is $40?
You think you’re profitable.
But the moment you increase the budget - you’ll start losing money.
Not scalable?
Scratch. Back to the drawing board.

3. Unf*ck your checkout.
Don’t take an email before the checkout.
The extra step COULD lower your conversions to the point where it’s not worth it.
Either way - it’s SUPER difficult to convert those abandoned carts.
Do retargeting instead.
* Test this.

4. Remove the first EXIT button.
Having a call-to-action button on the first scroll is usually an exit button.
People click - because they’re curious - get to checkout - and leave.
Build the sales pitch before you introduce the first CTA button.

5. Buy or die.
Remove ALL outbound links.
• Social media icons - BYE.
• Click to email me - BYE.
• Read our blog - BYE.
If you give people a way out without buying - they’ll use it and it will tank your conversions.
Every single time.

6. Use scarcity. Never use FAKE scarcity.
Find a UNIQUE way to position your product so it has NATURAL scarcity.
Fake scarcity will bite you in the ass. People are not stupid. And even if they buy?
They understand it’s fake.
So they won’t buy your upsells.

7. Immediately sell AGAIN.
Your thank-you page HAS to sell AGAIN.
Same about your first email.
Common misconception.
People think it’ll scare users away.
No.
You NEED it to be able to scale further. Your AOV is EVERYTHING.
Don’t sleep on this.

7. You don’t have to solve problems.
A lot of marketers will tell you “sell NEEDS. Not wants”.
That’s false.
We’ve been able to sell “nice to have” products at scale time after time.
We’re doing this today as well.
Desires sell too.
Not only problems.

8. Know your numbers.
All of your numbers.
So that the moment something breaks?
• Page load time
• AOV decreased
• Conversion rate changed…
You know EXACTLY what to look for.
And…
It WILL break.
It always does.

9. Develop your business.
Outsource the marketing ASAP. Stop running ads and writing emails.
Your job as the business owner is to CONSISTENTLY do biz dev.
• More partnerships
• More channels
• More products
• More funnels
• More EVERYTHING.
