Earlier this year we launched an ad campaign promoting a workshop.
We had 1 ad that was responsible for over 6 figures in sales.
Here’s the exact ad we used and why it worked so well:
A THREAD.
This was a workshop that sold a spiritual coaching program.
Below I break down the ad copy step by step so you can copy the formula for yourself.
Let’s begin:
1.) The concept
I always start this type of ad off with an abstract concept AKA the hook.
It needs to be thought-provoking and counterintuitive so it stops the scroll.
Make sure it fits on one line and uses the type of language that your ideal customer uses.
Example:
This was the first line of the ad.
Alignment = buzzword for the LOA industry that our ideal customer uses.
Plus, it’s thought-provoking and not 100% clear so it gets people to continue reading.
2.) The pain
Now we need to dive into the concept in more detail and explain why it is relevant to them and their situation.
Focus on one pain point and use specific examples of what they are experiencing.
We need to showcase that we understand their pains and emotions.
Example:
We use specifics of what they have tried previously.
We also show we understand their frustration that nothing is working for them
Remember: If you can make someone feel understood they will automatically assume you have the solution to their problems
3.) The explanation
Now we explain the initial concept further and how it explains the pain they are experiencing.
This is the value part, where we teach them something.
The goal is to create a paradigm shift for them.
Example:
We teach how the LOA actually works in a clear way that will make sense to them.
While reading this we want them to think “aha, that’s why I’m not getting the results I desire.”
4.) The acknowledgement
Now to get them on our side we want to acknowledge that they are trying their best with what they have and that their lack of results isn’t their fault.
The goal is to justify their failures.
Example:
Do you see how we are deflecting the blame?
Essentially saying: “It’s not your fault, you didn’t even know it was happening.”
We also identify the problem here and explain that unless they fix it, they will continue to experience this pain.
5.) The solution
We now introduce a new solution to solve their pain.
We want to introduce our unique mechanism that gets them their desired result.
NOTE: The example below could be improved. I would change it if I was to write it again.
Example:
I would change it to:
“I reveal the 6 shifts you need to make in order to overcome the blocks that are holding you back from manifesting abundance into your life.”
^ not perfect but better.
Unique mechanism = 6 shifts
Desired result = manifesting abundance
6) The CTA
This is an invitation to learn more.
Simple. Doesn’t need explaining.
There you go.
A killer framework that you are free to steal.
