My business almost failed last year.
In 2021, we lost money.
In 2022, we’ll do over $5 million in sales with $2M+ in profit.
Here are the 5 powerful changes I made . . .
1/ Personal brand > company brand
Last year, we marketed under our company name and would celebrate 5k views.
This year, we‘re marketing under my name and easily reach 1 million+ weekly.
Show your face, not your logo.
2/ Talking to customers > ‘market research’
Last year, we hired overpriced market research firms.
This year, I appeared on 75 of our customer’s podcasts.
On each show, I told our story different ways.
Watching the hosts body language told me everything I needed to know.
3/ Raising prices > lowering prices
Last year, we lowered our prices.
This year, we increased them 50%.
It’s resulted in:
-Better profit
-Better customers
-Better product quality
-Better customer success
Customers don’t want the lowest price, they want their problem solved.
4/ What we should do > what we used to do
Last year, we tried to optimize blog conversions.
This year, we got so many views on social that conversions didn’t matter.
What got you to this point doesn’t have to be what you do forever.
Sunk cost can sink business.
5/ Free software as lead gen > paid ads
Last year, we ran Facebook ads to get leads.
This year, we built QuickCoach.Fit and gave it away for free.
Instead of paying for leads, 17,000+ coaches now login to our software daily and tell their friends.
Summing it up, here’s the 5 things I did to turn my failing business around:
1/ Personal brand > company brand
2/ Talking to customers > ‘market research’
3/ Raising prices > lowering prices
4/ What we should do > what we used to do
5/ Free software for lead gen > paid ads
2021 was hard.
I made mistakes and learned lessons, which I hope benefit you as well.
