Thread: 20 Awesome Defi Resources 🐸🫑
In the 150 days since starting @thedailydegenhq, we've highlighted:
-600+ new protocols (fr)
-700+ data screenshots
-2000+ tweets/threads/articles/videos
Here's twenty invaluable resources for it I wanted to shout-out!
🧡
1/x
One: @DefiLlama
The amount of value @DefiLlama represents is just staggering.
Even more so given that it is a 100% free resource...
2/x
With @DefiLlama you can now get real-time info on:
-Chain TVL
-Protocol TVL
-Dex volumes
-Yields
-New protocols
-Delta-neutral strategies
-Liquidations
-Exploits
-Airdrops
-And tons of other stuff
3/x
If you have the ability to do so, I would highly recommend donating to @0xngmi and the Llama's...
To do so, scroll to the bottom of the left-hand toolbar, and click 'Donate' as per the below screenshot:
4/x
Two: @DeBankDeFi
When it comes to @thedailydegenhq I primarily reference DeBank in terms of new protocols they list, however it is an insanely valuable resource beyond that, for browsing/tracking prominent wallets, tracking your own portfolio, etc.
5/x
Three: @SubstackInc Itself
If you've ever used email marketing for any project/business, you know how logistically intense the backend is.
I was skeptical how good Substack would be in this regard in terms of deliverability/inboxing, but have been absolutely blown away...
6/x
Right now @thedailydegenhq gets around 3k views per day, over 80% of which are from email subscribers.
The email open rate is around 35%, which is extremely good, and I primarily attribute this to Substack's backend deliverability optimisation.
Another fantastic service.
7/x
Four: @coingecko
Likely everyone reading this already uses @coingecko, but wanted to shout them out for the general excellence and consistency.
Could not imagine doing TDD or defi in general without using them.
8/x
Five: Twitter Advanced Search
I probably use this a couple dozen times per day.
For the @thedailydegenhq its primarily for trying to find new protocols as soon as they pop up, but I use it for all sorts of stuff (way more than google search quite frankly).
9/x
Six: The Good Gents At @ApeOClock (for new protocols)
They include lots of Tomb forks/NFT projects which @thedailydegenhq doesn't include, but they have lots of diamonds in the rough as well, and I check their Twitter page every day.
10/x
Seven: @BitcoinFear and @EthereumFear
Been using these since the start and personally they're one of my favorite metrics to keep an eye on.
11/x
Eight: @TickerTop - data bot for prices of top tokens
12/x
Nine: @cryptobubbles24
Top price movers bubble image data bot:
13/x
Ten: @woodstockclub
This is a US stock market data bot that appears to be from some Asian organization(?).
No idea but is by far the best account I've found in this category.
14/x
Eleven: @ReveloIntel
This project- from my friend @NickDrakon - has become one of my favorite things to include recently, as it provides Twitter-thread summaries of all sorts of important videos/ama's/interviews/etc.
15/x
Twelve: @stable_fish
StableFish tracks stablecoins yields, both on their website and via their Twitter account.
One of the best resources I've found for this and highly recommended!
16/x
Thirteen: @CertiKAlert, @PeckShieldAlert, and @wallet_guard
These are my three favorite Twitter accounts for security/exploit/etc alerts and info.
17/x
Fourteen: @DAdvisoor's 'Another Day In Crypto'
This is a Substack of all the most important Twitter alfa from CT.
I read every single edition to make sure I didn't miss anything - highly recommended!
18/x
Fifteen: Linn's Leverage by @crypto_linn
Same as above, another excellent Substack curatooring all the best alfa from CT.
19/x
Sixteen: @dexguru
DexGuru (an on-chain analytics/charting/dex aggregator) has been our official sponsor for September and October and we have used their platform to produce a bunch of charts for TDD.
Highly recommend them!
20/x
Seventeen: @Blockworks_
There's a number of great 'crypto news' accounts on Twitter (@WatcherGuru is another one) but I wanted to explicitly mention @Blockworks_ because they combine this with an amazing YouTube channel I reference often:
youtube.com
21/x
In addition, there are literally hundreds of amazing Twitter accounts + YouTube channels I could mention as well... however I cannot even remotely do justice to them all...
TL/DR we are blessed for gigabrainage in this space...
22/x
Conclusion:
Again, just wanted to explicitly thank/shout-out some of the above resources since I've been utilizing them so much!
Highly recommend using/following/etc all of them! :)
23/x
Also... big thanks to these gigachads we published interviews with (more such interviews on the way!)..
-@phtevenstrong
-@Dynamo_Patrick
-@bizyugo
-@DeFiMann (formerly @ mark2work)
