Sudan is not secure under the military rule. Last night, 21-year-old MIT student Ahmed Taha was killed by a security man at the Nile Club, owned by the GIS, for a minor debate. The victim was on a short vacation in Sudan.

He was the only son of the CEO of the @Sudani_sd. According to preliminary information, the security man allegedly he wanted to shoot at the tires of the car, killing the victim and injuring 2 of his escorts. Reports "Uncertain" that the security man was drunk
The victim was an active member of the pro-democratic revolutionary movement. It's a video of his participating in a vigil for the Sudanese diaspora. My heartfelt condolences to the martyr's family, & urgent recovery for his comrades who were hit by live bullets.

The killer is a soldier from the GIS called "Essam El Tayeb." Reports say he took the Kalashnikov (gun) from the office after the altercation was over and shot the victim and his companions directly, "deliberately killed". He was arrested and placed under close custody.
The GIS claimed, in a naive statement - issued long hours after the crime - that the victim and his companions had attacked the security post at the Nile club by their car. And that the killer had countered them by firing live bullets!
