In the process of writing this I did a bit of digging to see if we can understand how well Reels is actually doing.
The answer is about half as well as Stories was doing by now.

While I obviously see a lot of challenges with this strategy, I should say I do have a ton of respect for @mosseri and especially how he is communicating about these changes with the public
