People are everyday spreading lies on somalia but no intellectual or academic steps in and in fact they even spread the misinformation themselves ! It seems there is no desire to and the only thing they write about is what ngo’s tell them to and about famine and war !

I can say for a fact that somalia lacks any actual intellectuals that really do studies that benefits somalis ! All studies on 🇸🇴 the last decades are all done by westerners and were meant for westerners ! Somali historians read western work on their own history 🤦♂️🤦♂️

95% of somali historians only know about the colonial history and absolutely nothing else ! The meagre 40 yrs of italian occupation and the 70yrs of British hegemon ! Thats all they know nothing else !

The new generation need to absolutely distance themselves from current somali academics and start a new academia and create a new epistemology and focus on somali history from a somali perspective and research that actually benefit somalis and not foreigners.

Current day Somali scholars are useless and mostly indoctrinated by western philosophy and have a huge inferiority complex. The only thing they do is repeat western propaganda and in fact they always downplay somalia’s history! They’re nothing but poison to somali literature
