Learn to show empathy towards yourself when difficult times come.
Doing this will improve your emotional state and give you the confidence to keep moving forward.

Identifying your triggers will give you a fighting chance the next time they arise.

Whenever something bad happens to me, I like to laugh first.
It helps to reframe the situation.
It's certainly not appropriate for all situations, but for most, a good hearty laugh will snap you out of your emotional state.
